Jalgaon has been in the crux of agricultural development in India since the pre-independence era. The first rural (and 51st National) conference of Indian National Congress was held in Faizpur in 1936 which was well attended by the peasant community. In important agenda during this conference was to work towards the welfare and development of these farmers. With the same motto, Datta Irrigation Company, a Jalgaon based company was formed in 2001 to empower farmers with modern agricultural products and accessories to help improve their yield, enhance productivity and in turn foster prosperity to lead a better life.
